With shock, deep sadness and loss, we share the news of Eric Zeiss’s sudden passing at 70 years old on Sunday November 5th. Eric and his wife Jeni moved to the US in July of 2020 from South Africa to live with his daughter, Tammy Davison, her husband Jesse, and their two sons, Tristan and Aidan. Eric’s presence in their home these past years provided daily companionship and care for his grandchildren, their dog, chickens and cats; he was truly a lover of people, animals and nature.
Many who know Tammy and her family understand that Eric and Jeni arrived from South Africa without benefits, healthcare or any of their home country’s assistance. They contributed to their family home here with daily care, companionship and love.
It is both Tammy and Jeni's desire to return Eric to his home country, where other family members and life-long friends will welcome him home. And Jeni has determined to move home permanently, as well.
We are hoping our community, and Eric and the Davison’s friends can come together in this time of need. Funds raised will be used to navigate an unexpected and very costly medical bill as well as a trip to South Africa for the 5 family members, and ongoing care for Jeni. Eric has been Jeni’s caretaker for the past years; his passing leaves a huge gap for meeting her ongoing care.
The emotional and financial burden Eric’s family is facing is overwhelming. Your donations will help relieve their emotional and financial burden and every contribution, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your compassion and support.
With love and gratitude,
Tammy & Jesse Davison, Jeni Zeiss, family and friends
