Life has a crazy way of throwing curve balls.
What do you say and how does one even start when you never thought you would be in this place at this exact time? Sure, none of us know the day nor the hour, yet here we are wrestling with the fact that our beloved son, brother, father, cousin, friend, classmate, coworker, and so much more is no longer here with us.
As our family has been going through each of the stages of grief in our own way, for so many reasons, we’re finding ourselves stuck in the anger phase. We see COVID-19 devastating our country and breaking the hearts of the family’s who are left to mourn these senseless deaths. It all feels so senseless. Eric was strong. This wasn’t supposed to be his story; our story, but, as of Thursday, April 22, 10:44 am it was.
He has left behind so many people who loved and cherished him, but most importantly his 6 year old daughter who was the apple of his eye, and also dependent on him for her very well being. We find ourselves here, humbly and even hesitantly seeking your support for her.
Many of you have poured out your hearts offering up much needed prayers and encouragement through texting, calling, emailing asking how you can help. We know times are hard for many and we wholeheartedly understand that. If there is an opportunity for you to support his daughter in a small way during this transition, it would be greatly appreciated. Trust, that no amount is too small because little becomes much when you put it in God’s hands.
Thank you all so much for your prayers and know that Eric is looking down on all of us rooting for us.
We are not out of the woods yet family so please stay vigilant as we fight through and try to beat this virus.
