Dear Friends & Family,
Eric was recently diagnosed with metastatic medullary thyroid cancer after finding a swollen lymph node on his neck. After many, many tests and days of endless waiting, they have confirmation that the cancer has spread to other areas as well. Eric and Sarah are traveling to Seattle for a second opinion, recommended by their local oncologist. All of this has happened very quickly and the family is still reeling from all the new information they have received.
We are starting this GoFundMe account for the Whitney Family in hopes to help support them during this difficult time. As you can imagine, there have already been many hours of work missed and many more to come. In addition to the already mounting medical and travel expenses, and the cost of daily life raising a family of 6. It is our hope that we can collectively band together to alleviate the mounting stress and worries they are shouldering to the best of our ability.
The Whitney family thanks the many friends and family who have reached out to support Eric and their family during this challenging time. The outpouring love and encouragement has been heartwarming. Eric and Sarah are humbled by everyone’s prayers and kind words so far, and we will continue to post updates here to keep everyone in the loop.

Meet the Whitney Family:
Eric has lived in Alaska his whole life and Sarah moved to the Kenai Peninsula, from Virginia, 20 years ago. They have been married for 15 years and have a beautiful family. They have 4 children Liam, Kennedy, Myah, and Heath, ages 16, 12, and the twins are 7. They are a very active family and love spending time together camping, at the beach or lake, road trip adventures, dance competitions, or just relaxing at home together.
