My name is Tina Tucker, I am a family friend of Eric and his family. I watched Eric grow up enjoying life running and having fun with the local kids. Until one day his life was stolen from him by some unknown disease. I have watched Eric go through hell and back thanks to this disease that has control of his life.

Fast forward Eric has now been flown to St Paul in Vancouver for how long it is unknown.

As we all know nothing is free, or cheap these days. Eric and his family have gone through so much mentally, physically, and financially. These funds will help with what ever Eric Mom feels fit for a better quality of life for Eric. Whether it's for Travel to be with Eric, Meds, Hotels, Food, Hospital bed at home once he is released. Update from for Eric Mom.

As a lot of you know, Eric has been dealing with rare autoimmune and inflammatory medical conditions for the past 17 years. With a steady progression and a lot of sudden setbacks over the past 9 years. This has consisted of him enduring many infections, painful flares, and multiple surgeries. Most recently Eric developed another rare autoimmune disease called Pyoderma Gangrenosum that has consisted of spontaneous very painful blistering lesions & deep open wounds. This has caused Eric to spend a lot of time in and out of hospital, having to endure infections, several tests and being put on strong IV steroids and another immune suppressant that come with a lot of side effects. The long term steroids has caused Eric to develop other negative issues including Avascular Necrosis in his left hip which he requires surgery for once the Pyoderma Gangrenosum settles down, unfortunately it’s a necessary course of treatment at this time. There is no cure or a proper treatment regimen that has proven successful at controlling Erics autoimmune conditions and he will have to continue trying several expensive medications in order to give Eric the best fighting chance at a full recovery that he deserves. Most recently Eric has been sent to St Pauls hospital in Vancouver where he is receiving treatment and he will be undergoing skin graft surgeries on his open wounds within the next couple weeks after the wound vac dressing treatment which is used to help the tissues become more viable. Erics Mom is in Vancouver with Eric for support and advocate as this is to much for him to handle on his own as he also requires physical help from her as well as he is on a full no weight bearing restriction. This is all quite costly along with the fact that they will have a lot of other medical expenses for Eric which include outpatient hotel stay in Vancouver after Eric is discharged in a few weeks, follow up medical trips, another scheduled surgery for Erics hip in Vancouver, medications, Physiotherapy and required home medical aids to assist Eric in being able to be as comfortable and mobile as possible. This is for Eric the strong, resilient guy so many of us love, so he can just focus on healing and getting the best medical care he requires and deserves, along with knowing his parents can relax a little with your help.
