I'm Michael, Eric's son. My dad passed suddenly and very unexpectedly and has left my mom and I reeling in the pain of not only his loss and the loss his brothers and father are experiencing, but in the financial uncertainty it has left us in. We want to give him the best send off we can while accommodating family to be able to see us and him but we are not doing well financially at the moment. A family member has graciously offered to cover his mortuary expenses but we still have many expenses such as paperwork for settling affairs, hopefully planning a memorial, and covering bills and living expenses until we have a better understanding of what we will be left with in the aftermath. My dad worked very hard to keep a roof over our heads and I have forgone employment for many to years to take care of my disabled mother since he couldn't be there while he worked 8-12 hour days, often 7 days a week. I know he would hate to see us struggle and be unable to help, so I have to turn to you, family and friends and maybe even gracious strangers who would like to help in order to give him the final rest he deserves and keep us moving until things are more stable.
