For those who may not know Eric's story..

His Mom passed when he was 16.. Worst day of our lives. He had lived a very hard life afterwards as I was not there 100% of the time like I should have been and will always have this guilt to live with the rest if my life.

In Sept. of last year he was found unresponsive on the ground in a parking lot. He had to be revived. The next 36 to 48 hours was unsure if he would survive. He was in Sepsis Shock. His internals were failing. He bounced back. He did this numerous times. He always came back... but never like before. He was up to 395 lbs. After Dialysis, rehab down to 180. This went back and forth for months. That's drastic.

In October they had to amputate his left leg due to infection..

I had a feeling he would not bounce back this time... You just know.

He fought hard and had youth on his side but it was not enough Sad part is this last time he was on a ventilator and trach and could not communicate. That's the hardest part.

I felt he was just tired of it all. He had no more fight in him. You just know. He was over it. As he passed, he opened his eyes and just starred up up at the ceiling.. I wish I knew what he was looking at..

I will miss my best Bud for the rest of my life.

Best fishing buddy you could want. Always funny and made me laugh all the time. Eric was also gifted and was so smart. History was his thing. It was scary the knowledge he had. He was such a good person and did not deserve this.
