Our father Eric Rodriguez Sr. had passed away on December 4th, 2020.
His Life:
He was born on October 19th, 1966 in Corona California where he spent the remainder of his 54 years of life. Throughout his life, he would be raised in a family of Nine. Five Sisters and One brother. He had faced many challenges in his early life and eventually dropped out of school. Yet he did not let that stop him from paving his own path. He may have not been able to figure out the whole school part but one thing he perfected was Hard Work. Whether it was picking berries or pushing a broom, no matter what job he could find he would always put his best foot forward and do his very best to succeed in life.
He would go on to have a family of his own raising five kids; Celina, Eric, Francisco, Jacob, and Cheyenne. Raising a family is no easy task and especially with five kids always giving him a hard time. Having little education from school he learned his greatest lessons from the ones around him. He never had any excuses and didn't let anything stop him from working to support his family in every way possible. He made sure our stomachs were full, we had clothes to wear, and everything we need to get our education and succeed in life. He would always find a way to save money and spoil his family. The vacations we took, the gifts he would give; were nothing to the memories he would create no matter where we were or did.
He was a loving father, someone always great to talk to and ask for advice when we needed it the most. If you had a problem or needed some company, he was always the one to go to. My siblings and I always had a special place in his heart as he always put us first before him. He loved his grandkids Julian, Laylah, Fernando, and Noah. He did his best to spend time with his grandkids showing them love, teaching them life lessons, and spoil them as any grandpa will do.
We all know that throughout our lives it is not always sunshine and rainbows. We all go through many struggles yet our father would never let the cloudy days outweigh the Sunny. He always found the good in the bad and took the bad days as a lesson more than a punishment.
Our father has many stories and memories with a lot of you throughout his life. Some good and some bad but we hope mostly good when we take a walk down memory lane. Some of your stories and memories are meant to be told. We always loved hearing it from him and we would always love to hear it from you all as well.
Today, we are faced with the reality of his sudden passing and finding his final resting place. Any contributions would help us greatly during these times. If you are not able to contribute, we hope you can take the time to spend it with your loved ones. Let us not forget the invaluable time we have with one another and let us not take it for granted. Life is too precious.
