We have a big swamp here in Roscommon County and it’s not the Dead Stream Swamp. It’s the Deep State Swamp who doesn’t like being challenged for breaking the law and then getting caught. We live in an upside down, topsy turvy world. Right is wrong and wrong is right. The Commissioners lost the legal battle at the Michigan Supreme Court and now it is apparently payback time, so they are charging me with a crime. The only thing I’m guilty of is trying to make Roscommon County adhere to its legal obligations as to the water level of Higgins Lake. The previous Commissioners committed illegal acts that lowered the water levels to be out of compliance with the Court Order and I have been trying to get these levels back in compliance within the bounds of the law. The previous commissioners are the ones in the wrong, not me.

Now, our local government is charging me with a crime for doing my job. This criminal charge is a weaponization of law enforcement and a malicious, retributive prosecution. I am NOT GUILTY. I expect to prevail and I will be fully exonerated. It is obvious that they are trying to discourage me from continuing the Higgins Lake Level legal fight and force me off the Commission. We’re going to find out who is behind this. The truth will come out and I look forward to presenting a vigorous defense. I need your help. Please contribute to my Legal Defense fund.
