Eric Lorenz Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Eric Allen Lorenz left this world as a king. Colleen and Sophia, his wife and daughter; Scrappy Doo, his faithful dog; his home in Sebring; his parents in Florida and Minnesota; his brother in Colorado; and hundreds of friends were his riches. His actions, demeanor, and ability to live in the present made Eric easy to befriend. His tilted smile, wink, handshake, and a hugs left lasting impressions, and captured the hearts of virtually everyone he encountered. Since his passing on December, 22nd 2016, (just months after being diagnosed with colon cancer) I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, condolences, and memories shared with myself and others in his immediate family. Many people have offered help and asked if anything can be done. It is my sincerest hope that you will contribute to the "Eric Lorenz Family Memorial Fund" either here via GoFundMe or by mailing a check directly to a member of Eric’s family made to the order of “Eric Lorenz Family Memorial Fund.” If you need an address, please contact me privately, as we do not want to publish any private information for safety reasons.
As a little brother, I am now and will forever be indebted to Eric. As such, I am reaching out to all of you by asking for your help this holiday season to alleviate the financial burden that his battle with cancer and final arrangements have left behind for his family to settle. In assisting with these immediate financial concerns, you will also be helping to fulfill his final wishes to see both his girls graduate, Colleen with her Ph.D. and Sophia from college. This holiday season has been filled with every emotion that can be described by words and even more that cannot. While I recognize this request comes at a moment when both time and money are short, I am hopeful that the hundreds of people Eric affected in life will now help to celebrate him in death. Please know that there is no donation too small or memory too insignificant that it should not be shared. I hope you will take just a brief moment to open your heart to everyone who visits this page by sharing a lasting memory of Eric. Every memory, and every dollar will be given directly to Eric's wife and daughter in dealing with the emotional and financial burden of losing a husband, father, brother, son and friend far too soon. I know that there are people who do not have the means to offer financial support. If this is you, you can still help by sharing this story with others who knew Eric or his family; it only takes a second to share this page via Facebook, Twitter, and other social media. Thank you for in advance for your demonstration of solidarity with this great man. It means the world to my brother and me. I am certain that Eric is smiling down on us all this holiday.
