Eric Lane

I'll try to keep this brief and to the point: I'm setting up this fundraiser for a fellow railroad brother in his time of need. Thank you Shawn Reed and Pippel for the info! Eric has been diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome and is currently in the ICU. Below is a message that I have copied and pasted from Eric's wife Tammy:

"Hi Fam, It's been a rough few days. Eric is resting so I thought I would give you an update. He has been diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. He was brought in by ambulance to the ER on Wednesday with what they thought was stroke symptoms. This syndrome causes paralysis that starts in the feet and progresses to the chest. The paralysis has progressed to his waist and arms. He is still breathing on his own. They have him on a heart machine and are monitoring him very close. The dr warned us today that the progression rate could intubate him in the next couple days but if that happens it is usually only a couple days. They are glad he came in early. They started treatment Wednesday night. It is a 5 day treatment and if it works it won't start working until 5-7 days after the last treatment. There is no cure but they continue to assure us this is recoverable. Recovery is 6-12 months. So needless to say we could use a prayer or two. Love you all!! ❤️❤️"

There was an update after that which says Eric has been intubated and sedated, but comes to when Tammy talks to and touches him. He will remain intubated until his paralysis starts to get better.

The last thing anyone wants to deal with in these situations is the financial side of it.

Let's come together and try to ease some of the burden for Eric and his family!
