Hello, my name is Nikki Long. Shane Boshears and I are setting up this fundraiser to help Eric LaCook and his family with medical, travel and living expenses they have acquired and will acquire during his ongoing health battle. Eric was the primary provider for his wife Jaclyn and their 13yr old son Steven. He was under the care of the Conway Regional Health system for most of 2021. During that time, Eric had to miss five months of work due to unexplained health issues, including extreme fatigue, muscle loss, and losing the ability to eat, which has caused a 95lb weight loss. He has been off work since February 6th, 2022, due to the continuation of these issues. In February, he was referred to UAMS for further evaluation and treatment. He has also been seen at Carti, who has referred him to the MAYO Clinic to hopefully get some answers. Unfortunately, Eric has been denied long term disability due to not having a diagnosis. His wife Jaclyn is doing all she can to make ends meet. But we know the expenses of traveling to the MAYO Clinic, food, hotels, and living expenses here at home will add up fast.
