Eric is having surgery and he needs your help!

Hi, my name is Eric and my wife Reanna and I are raising funds for a surgery in April to replace both of the joints my jaws. This is a very rare surgery for someone my age. Because it has gone untreated this long, coupled with a history of grinding my teeth at night and trauma to the area as a child, I have terrible osteoarthritis and breakdown of the bones in both of my temporomandibular joints, or "TMJs," requiring a more sophisticated surgery called a bilateral condylectomy, for which I'll be traveling to Dallas, TX to see a doctor who specializes in this kind of operation. Right now, I have daily pain, an inability to enjoy many types of foods and even pain when I sing, which is very important to me.

Unfortunately, my health insurance is only covering basic surgery costs, leaving us to take out a $23,500 medical loan to cover the rest of the expenses. We can talk about how our healthcare system is so broken that it leaves 25-year-olds with that much debt to give them working jaws and that so many folks have to turn to GoFundMe to help with basic medical costs—all that is true.
