Eric 'Gordon' Wondergem's family

Hello Friends and Families,

For those who don't know, Gordon recently passed away Saturday, June 10th due to an unexpected diagnosis and rapid progression of ALS (aka Lou Gehrig's Disease)

My name is Brad Manifold and I have known Eric "Gordon" Wondergem and Connie Ennis since Broughton High School in Raleigh North Carolina. His untimely passing has shocked everyone. In addition to being great lifelong friends, they have been amazing parents to a wonderful 13-year-old daughter - Caitlyn Grace Wondergem.

Gordon and I were college housemates and partners in crime for years. Anyone who knew Gordon has a Gordon story. From Galloway Hall and athletic fields of UNCW; through hurricanes and blizzards; to house fires at Wrightsville Beach, from Reddogs to Fishbone and many other concerts at The Mad Monk; from offshore fishing to foosball and poker games; to tree and vegetable gardening; and - importantly to this message - to many other wonderful untold misadventures.

For all who knew Gordon, who he made laugh or cry or poured a drink or for whom he worked diligently, you know there's wonder in Gordon Wondergem and there are limitless possibilities of more wonder in the Wondergem family. So, please help and consider a donation for Connie's immediate expenses in dealing with this tragedy and for Caitlyn's future education expenses.

Gordon's memorial service was Monday, June 19th at 1:00 pm at Port City Community Church in Wilmington.
