After thoughtful conversation and the input of friends, Marilee and Matt have come forward to gratefully accept the setup of a GoFundMe site. So here’s their story.

Matt Billingsley, the husband of Marilee Billingsley (Eric Dobbs’ daughter) is bravely fighting an aggressive form of liver cancer. Matt was placed on the transplant list and, thanks to a selfless living donor, a compatible match has been found. - who Matt and Marilee were blessed to meet today. On October 16, he will undergo imaging (CT and MRIs) to ensure the cancer hasn’t spread beyond his liver. Barring complications, his surgery is scheduled for October 27.

Marilee and Matt are beacons of hope and resilience. Marilee is working to the point of exhaustion but she’s also realistic about the financial and logistical challenges ahead. Matt will require supervision and transportation to the hospital. Your support can be a lifeline – whether it’s a nourishing meal or financial assistance.
