Eric Daniel Hernandez was a bright and passionate young man whose life was tragically cut short in 2013. As a junior at UTSA San Antonio, he was pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, driven by a love for learning and a desire to make a difference in the world. Eric was also a proud graduate of the Engineering and Technologies Academy at Roosevelt High School, where he built the foundation for his future and inspired those around him with his determination and kindness.

To honor Eric’s memory and continue his legacy, we are establishing the Eric Daniel Hernandez Scholarship for students at the Engineering and Technologies Academy at Roosevelt High School. This scholarship will provide vital support for tuition, books, and other educational expenses, helping future engineers follow in Eric’s footsteps and achieve their dreams.
