It is with a heavy heart that I share this fundraiser for the memorial of Eric Caty - our beloved coach, mentor, and friend. Eric was so much more than an extraordinary dancer; he was an international icon in the dance community, a visionary who dedicated his life to growing and strengthening this community.

For those lucky enough to know Eric, he always lived his life to the fullest. His enthusiasm and passion for life and dance were captivating and inspiring to so many. He didn't just teach and perform - he created opportunities for thousands of dancers, organizing Ballroom Competitions, Salsa Congresses, and supported countless events that brought dancers together. Beyond the dancing, Eric loved a good party. If you were lucky enough to share a drink, dance, or a laugh with him, you knew how much joy he found in those moments. Eric had a way of bringing people together like no one else could.

As we mourn this unimaginable loss, we want to honor his legacy the way he would have wanted: by coming together. This fundraiser is dedicated to supporting the people closest to Eric: his fiancée Megan Roche, his partner Kelly Lannan, his best friend Martin Lefebvre, and his mother Josette; Helping cover memorial expenses and ensuring that his contributions to the world of dance live on.

Eric built something that will never fade - a thriving, passionate community that will dance in his honor for years to come.
