Eric Barnes Memorial Fund

On June 28th 2021 my oldest brother Eric passed away unexpectedly a few days after his 33rd birthday.

Just weeks prior, he was brutally attacked at random and suffered near fatal stab wounds by someone so careless. Eric fought for his life for weeks before succumbing to his injuries and on Monday morning, he went home to be with God peacefully in the presence of his parents.

We are so thankful for all the support that we have received so far from our family and friends as we begin the grieving process. Eric was my parents first born child and he was truly special in so many ways. He excelled at everything he put his mind too, and he made life look so easy. He was so strong both physically and mentally and as the oldest brother he was so protective over his family, especially his little sister.

Eric leaves behind both his parents and his little brother and sister. We know that life will never be the same without him and we’ll grieve the loss of his presence every day.

We also know that no parent ever anticipates the financial burden that comes with arranging their child’s funeral so we created this page to help elevate some of the inevitable burden that comes with this process. Any donation, no matter how small is greatly appreciated at this time. Our family thanks you all for being there with us as we begin to learn how to navigate life without Eric.
