Eric Anthony Crew

Hi, my name is Michael and I was Eric (some of you may know him as Shane) Crew’s partner. A week ago after searching for him for two days I finally found him… unresponsive and long beyond aid on the floor of a hotel room. We don’t have any real answers yet as to what happened, but Im now tasked with pulling it together enough to write this to please ask for assistance in the costs of his cremation etc… I don’t even know what to say, he had been struggling for a long time with demons from his past. I did everything I could to be there for him and I couldn’t save him…

Eric was a lot. Brilliant, head strong, beautiful and kind. Arrogant and foolhardy, convinced he was indestructible. His laugh filled a room and beyond, was deep and bellowing. He gave more of himself than he should have to others, was taken advantage of and seemed to always be set at odds with forces that wanted to see him fall. But he still got up and kept fighting forward… Until someone watched him go down and just left him there, tendering no aid and pretending it never happened.

Im sorry, someone’s going to have to edit this for me or something… I’ll get to the point… His mother and I are not of the means to provide for the expenses that are a result of this. I’m an emotional wreck barely holding it together and trying to not drown in the vast emptiness that I feel inside without him here and when I CAN work it’s chump change that doesn’t even provide for my own needs most often, let alone what his are now.

So here I am petitioning his friends and family for aid, on behalf of his mother Heidi Roy and myself, to assist us.

Eric deserved so much better than life gave to him. Thank you for helping him one final time.

we will likely have some sort of service, but I’m not sure yet what that looks like. just making this go fund me has been daunting, forcing me to accept the loss of my best friend and the love of my life… It makes it real and I just don’t want it to be…
