On September 29th my Mom was in a terrible car accident that resulted in the loss of their truck. I wish I could day this was the worst of this story but it was just the start of a very hard month for my parents. Just a few short weeks later my Dad was experiencing some abdominal pains and was not feeling right. He went in to ER and had to have an Emergency surgery to remove his gall bladder. The weeks after we’re rough with non-stop fevers and nausea. This week he decided to go into ER where he again had to have another emergency surgery. He not only has sepsis but a large abscess that developed from his previous surgery. He luckily had the abscess removed and had a drain tube put in to clear out any more infection. We thought we were on the road to recovery when he took a turn for the worst on Thursday night and almost lost his life. His oxygen, blood pressure and heart rate dropped so low he was moved to cardiac ICU. That’s a call you never want to get. With amazing care from his doctors and by the miracles of God we still are trying to understand he has started to make an amazing recovery and is expected to return home this week just in time for Thanksgiving. I put this together because my humble, hard working parents are going into the holidays with almost 5 weeks of no pay. They are waiting on short term disability to kick in which can take 3-4 weeks. My parents who do anything and everything for everyone else would never ask for the same help they need right now. So this is me reaching out for them. ANYTHING would help at this point. Donations, prayers, meals! My Dad is going to be off until his sepsis and drain tube are completely removed. It could be 8-10 weeks at this point which is through Christmas. My Mom will be by his side taking care of him which results in more loss of work for her as well. From my family to yours THANK YOU for the love, prayers, donations and overall comfort you’ve brought to us over this past week. We love you ALL!
