Eric and Nicole's IVF journey

I am Nicole and I'm a nurse. My husband, Eric, is a grain mill operator. We have been married for 5 years. We have been trying to have a child since we got married. Eric has an amazing son, my stepson, who is 11. We live in Northwest Ohio. We were born and raised with midwestern values. 2021 I was having some health issues and needed to lose weight (which I found out was inhibiting my ability to get pregnant). I started Optavia in January of 2021 and by the end of 2021, I had lost 80 lbs! My health was 100% better and my body was working perfectly to have a child. Then we found out that Eric had an issue. So we went and saw a specialist. They referred us to an IVF clinic. I had set up my appointment a month ago. Then unexpectedly both of my parents ended up in the hospital at the same time a few weeks ago. Unfortunately my father never made it home. My parents are amazing, supportive people. They always treated Bentley as their own grandchild (their only grandchild). After my dad died, we went to our IVF consultation and we got the go ahead! It is bitter sweet, because my father should have been around to see me have a child. We have been saving for this procedure but the cost is higher than we anticipated. We are reaching out to family, firends, and people who belive in the value of family, to help us on this journey to hopefully having a baby!!!
