As some of you may know, Eric has struggled with Ulcerative Colitis for the past 10 years.  In early July Eric started having issues involving his medical condition that resulted in him being admitted to Adventist Health Sonora on July 17th.  

On August 3, Eric went into emergency surgery in order to save his life.  Noemi and Eric were informed that his body started to shut down because it was refusing the medication treatment, creating Toxic Mega-Colon.  Thankfully Eric made it through several hours of surgery.  In the weeks following Eric has had several serious set backs that have extended his hospital stay.  After seven weeks of new antibiotics, treatments, wound care, and physical therapy, Eric is on the mend.  

As all of this was happening, Eric was not permitted to see his family because of the pandemic and they were in the middle of preparing to move cities because he had started a new job.  It has been chaotic and has taken an emotional toll on all of them.

We are putting this gofundme together to help provide support to the family for medical bills and home care that will require nurses and medical supplies.  While they do have medical insurance, it will not cover all of the expenses that are already starting to come in.
