On September 15, 2014 Matt Odom was brutally murdered infront of his family home while on his way to work. This tragic event has left our family devistated as we try to make arrangements for Matt's funeral and to plan for the future of his four young children.
Matt was a dedicated father, doing whatever he needed to do to make sure that his kids were cared for. Matt had full custody of the children, all under the age of 10. His children now face an uncertian future, as we fights to ensure they can all remain together with one of the Matt's imediate famly members.
Matt was only given 28 short years on this earth before he was ripped away from his family and friends. We want to give him a proper burial so that everyone whose life he touched has the opportunity to say a heart wenching goodbye. We want to bury him so that his children will have a place that they can go to visit their father in the years to come.
The number of people that have sent their prayers and thoughts to the family has been overwhelming. We know that Matt was known and loved by many in our community. We are asking for your help to provide a funeral fitting of Matt. The cost of a basic burial is approximatly $10,000, which is needed BEFORE we will be able to bury him. Any money raised above and beyond the funeral costs will be used to set up a trust for the children.
