Need some help.

Hi, I'm Alan and I'm fundraising for myself.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm a 55-year-old professional that somehow due to a divorce and a couple of bad bounces in my business is sliding into homelessness.

I've heard about this site a for a long time and now I can appreciate the courage and humility one must have to publicly admit to others that they need help.

I'm just your average guy. Professional. Went to a good college, good friends and father of two beautiful boys. I've got a little money saved up but it won't cover me for the next couple of months while I try to find a new place that will accommodate me and my son.

This was a last result. Going through divorce has been a humiliating and costly experience. Having to beg friends for money was equally as embarrassing. I'm having to suck up any pride I have left and throw out this request for help and mercy to the universe before I hit rock bottom.

I set up a conservative goal of $2500 which will be used to cover basic living expenses such as food as well as the "no tell/motel" that I will soon be residing in. Part of this money will go to my housing search in the manner of application fees or a deposit on a room in some home.

To build myself up I've gone ahead and taken a second job in hopes to keep things going while I find another place to live.

If there is anyone out there that's been through a divorce you know how rough it can get. I'm right in the middle of this and just merely trying to keep things together.
