Essex Road Giants FC

Essex Road Giants Football Club established in 2013, with the primary focus of bringing young people together in a safe, controlled and friendly environment, whilst also giving them opportunities to progress their footballing careers along with building confidence and providing them with the essential tools required for the betterment of their lives. Since the birth of Essex Road Giants Football Club, the coaches are now known as the community champions, recruiting heaps of young people through their doors using the tool of football, to build a safe community, teach leadership skills and break down any interracial barriers that may occur. As a club Essex Road Giants Football Club’s main aim is to focus on those young people who are vulnerable to gang violence, or live unhappy and unhealthy home lives, and give them positive and productive footballing sessions, as well as including them into a team and giving them positive role models to follow and look up to. Since Essex Road Giants has started we have impacted many of the children's lives for the better that have come through our doors, as well as providing them with excellent coaching and mentoring to help them progress in whatever they wish to do so.  We have also had many players come through the Essex Road Giants ranks and moved on to professional football, and many still playing at that level. We also currently have a number of players playing academy football, that have also come through Essex Road Giants. The COVID-19 outbreak has hit Essex Road Giants FC as well as many other grassroots clubs who are now not receiving any income whilst there is no football. However as a club, we have continued to support those of the club and also those not of the club, by regular check ups on the families as well as running daily football sessions online for any one to join free of charge. We are now running a 5 hour non stop football entertainment fun day on Sunday 10th May, over on instagram, to help raise money for the club. This will be 5 hours full of entertainment, including live coaching, professional footballers coming in and teaching the viewers a skill or 2, live interviews with professionals who will share there wisdom and knowledge to the viewers , challenges and competitions, quiz's and Essex Road Giants members and parents coming in to the live show to tell us all how Essex Road Giants has helped and benefited them.   As a club we ask you to donate, whatever is possible in this current situation, and please do join us on the 10th May, between 12 & 5pm over on Instagram live.
