Coleman Family Insanity

As many of you are aware, this year has been a series of disasters. Some smaller, some terrifying, all unexpected and all together devastating. To the tune of over 10k in total. If these had been spread out through the year, it would have been rough but manageable. But it’s March. And we’ve been hit by a financial nuclear bomb.

We started a go fund me for Eric’s medical bills, which helped so much (thank you all so much. We can’t even express). Until Lizzie broke her leg, bad enough that she needed surgery. And Calibri had to go to the vet, also needing surgery. And the car needed several thousand in repairs (204k miles on one catalytic converter and one set of brakes). And and and.....every time we thought we had things under at least some crumb of manageability, something else substantial cracked. Its been a rolling list of crap that has become catastrophic. Emotionally, mentally, and financially.

And we tried, y'all. We wiped out our savings. We put stuff on credit cards. Lizzie has been putting in 50-60 hour weeks at work. But it isnt enough. We still have a sizable gap and we are out of resources.

As we have unfolded the broad stroke details over social media over the past month, some of you have very generously offered to help. We declined, hoping that we could get this under us even if it meant using everything we had. We couldn't. We already did one of these once this year and we REALLY didnt want to do so again. But we are stretched as far as we can be, and bits are starting to come loose.
