David Ickes’s Lung Transplant
Spende geschützt
Growing up Jay and I could always count on our Buddy Budster, David Ickes as you all know him as. He was always there for us even though we weren't blood he was our real deal grandpa, including taking care of our family. He is now facing a rough challenge in his life, he's been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and is in need of a double lung transplant. We are asking for help as his surgery requires him to travel to the mainland for four to six months as there is no lung transplants done here in Hawaii. Which means not only will he have to keep up with a mortgage and maintenance fee here in Hawaii, but rent a place in Phoenix and get a car so he can go back and forth to the hospital. If you can help our grandpa with the long road ahead we would greatly appreciate any amount. David is an Army Vet and served during the Vietnam Era, but did not serve long enough to qualify for all the benefits so will need to foot most of the medical expenses, along with the anti-rejection medicine which he will have to take for the rest of his life. We look forward to many more years to enjoy our Buddy. Thank you all.
