Alec Baillie Memorial Fund
Donation protected
On Tuesday November 10th, 2020, our beloved brother, friend, and bandmate, Alec Baillie passed away unexpectedly. The news was devastating—and shocking—to those who knew him. His ever-present grin, wit, and good-natured personality (a healthy mix of NYC grit and gentleness) were unforgettable, as was his sense of empathy. He was always there as a friend, and always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His talent as a musician was undeniable, and he dedicated his life to it. His music and musicianship are a source of inspiration to many worldwide.
To help alleviate the weight of any financial burden that will fall upon his family at this time, we’re currently raising funds for the various expenses & cremation costs.
All money raised will go toward:
1. Expenses related to cremation and memorial costs.
2. Legal fees in regards to his estate.
3. Travel costs for one of his family members to be present and to handle his end-of-life affairs.
All expenses will be recorded and available to view, for transparency. Harm reduction was something that Alec was passionate about. Any excess money raised will be donated to the Alliance for Positive Change (home of the LES Harm Reduction Center), where Alec received Narcan and volunteer training: https://alliance.nyc/leshrc .
Please consider chipping in anything you feel comfortable donating at this time. Everything helps. We know many people are struggling financially right now, so if you are not in a place where you feel you can give anything, please consider sharing this link.
Thank you.
