Hello all! My name is Katie, and I am here trying to raise money for my cousin and her lovely family.

Jennifer Gomez is my first cousin. She was born on February 23, 1979, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is married to Sergio Gomez, who was born and raised in Colombia. They have been married for 15 years. After two rounds of in-vitro and many years of trying, they were finally successful in getting pregnant.

In order for this to happen, they traveled to Spain and met a doctor with a high success rate. The joy overwhelmed our families. Having a baby was something Jennifer and Sergio had always wanted.

On October 6, 2025, we welcomed Sebastian Zachary Robert Gomez to our family with open arms. Jennifer’s heart was full. Sergio was finally a father. The pure joy that filled their hearts is unforgettable.

After enduring a C-section to deliver Sebastian, Jennifer was still in excruciating pain. This brought concern to our family. We could not understand why she was still in so much pain. The doctors have run many tests, and just three days after Sebastian was born, Jennifer has been diagnosed Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma. 

When someone in your family receives a diagnosis like this, all you can do is pray and hope. Jennifer is too young for us not to try everything possible, and we would like to give her every chance possible to beat this.

Because it was such a high-risk pregnancy, Jennifer has already been out of work for over two months. She is a primary breadwinner. She is an occupational therapist at the top of her career. Her husband is scared and beside himself. Her brand new baby needs a mother, and we need your help to make this happen.
