This request comes to you from Cascos Martial Art Academy, Oakland California. We at Cascos, have been teaching Appreciation, Consideration, Self-Respect and Self Defense for over 40 years. Also Developing Individual Confidence, Self Awareness, and Good Moral Values. We have taught thousands of Men, Women and Children. Three years ago we were in danger of losing our building. Because of many wonderful people writing letters, making phone calls to the bank, and unselfishly making donations, we were able to avoid the impending foreclosure. We received a beautiful remodification from the bank. Because of this we were able to keep our building. Our school (Cascos Martial Art Academy) has been doing well. We thank you.
Assumption: We made the mistake of assuming that all of the property taxes were included in the monthly mortgage payment. They were not. To our dismay we received a letter from the Property Tax Collectors Office giving us 3 weeks to pay $45,000 in delinquent taxes. We asked why no prior notice had been sent to us which would have enabled us to set up a payment plan. We were told that the Tax Collectors Office had mailed us notices prior to this date but unknowing to us the notices were sent to our home we had lost three years prior. Our home we had lost in foreclosure while we were trying to save our school. We are embarrassed to say we are in trouble again.

Introduction: Cascos Martial Art Academy owned and operated by a husband and wife team Bill and Mary Owens are the founders of Rhythmic Martial Arts. It is a direct derivative of the Chinese Kung-Fu Martial Art. It is important to understand that the Rhythmic Martial Arts has never been taught openly to the public. The timeline for its public introduction is Black history month 2017. However because we are in danger of loosing our building we have decided to introduce the Rhythmic Martial Arts before its previously scheduled date through this fund raiser account. One of the things that we are doing is offering to the five highest donors an Honorary Black Belt Certified Certificate. This certificate will allow the donor to receive a correspondence course, which could evolve into an Authentic Rank. If they so choose to participate.
