As most of you may not know, my dad suffered a hemorrhagic stroke due to a brain bleed back in late July. He and my mom spent 8 days in the ICU before being moved to inpatient rehab for 8 more days, after which he was finally discharged. He has spent the last few months going to PT, speech therapy, and various other doctors trying to recover and get back to his normal self. Unfortunately, progress has been slower than we hoped, and his paid leave at work runs out at the end of this month without him being cleared to go back. As you can imagine, my mom has also spent a great deal of time off work taking care of him, all while medical bills continue to pile up. While they are looking into long-term options, these things can take months to get approved. If you know my parents, you know they are very private and do not like to post things like this, but our immediate family can only do so much. We are humbly asking for help from extended friends and family- if you are able to donate even $5 to help them get back on their feet, our family will greatly appreciate it.
