Hello, this is Sherri Hutcheson. I ask that you give me a moment of your time.
John and Loretta Smith's daughter, Larissa Smith, was involved in a head on collision late Tuesday evening, February 9, 2016. Larissa is 18 years old and will be graduating from Park View Senior High School in just a few months.
Larissa is one of five (5) children and the family resides in Baskerville, Virginia.
I know the family is sincerely appreciative of the abundance of kind words, thoughtful gestures, and prayers during this time. Sadly, Larissa has a long, hard, road ahead of her. She has multiple injuries of various kinds and will be undergoing many major surgeries in the months to follow.
I would like to ask that their friends and the community assist in raising money to further help them during this time. Larissa's parents have understandably been by her side since the accident and are making major medical decisions several times a day. Unfortunately, there isn't any income at the present time because neither parent have benefits or other financial means to survive while out of work. I love the Smith family as a part of my own family and ask that you find it in your hearts to extend your assistance. No amount is too small. Even the smallest amounts add up!
Last, but certainly not least, the Smith family would never ask for any type of assistance on their own. John and Loretta are hardworking, caring individuals, and have a wonderful, special family that's loved by many! They have always been there for others, including myself. The months to follow will be difficult as their regular monthly bills become due. Their younger siblings will need food, transportation to and from school, etc., while John and Lotetta are at Duke Hospital. This doesn't even begin to cover the medical bills that will accumulate.
I ask that you will look into your hearts and consider giving any amount that you have within your means. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers! Feel free to inbox me if you need any additional information. I know that there have been many texts, outpourings of love etc., but with the limited time on their hands it's made it difficult to respond to them all. They have expressed their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the outpouring of love shared during this difficult time.
