Boomer's Cancer Surgery
Hey everyone. My name is Lauren and my best friends Christian and Devin Chatham, and their two young boys, need our help. Their 1.5 year old furbaby Boomer has been given a diagnosis of fibrosarcoma, located in his right upper jaw, with a life expectancy of 3-4 months without surgery. After numerous appointments, tests, and scans, they were told Boomer needs surgery very soon to have his jaw reconstructed to remove the cancer, as they believe it to be spreading to his bone. He'll need additional lab work, scans, treatment, and ultimately invasive surgery, costing a total of around $10,000. The Chathams, having two young boys at home, cannot afford this procedure on their own, and they need our help. Any money raised will go directly to Boomer's cost of care.
Boomer came to the Chathams in the Spring of 2020, as a gift from Christian's father Eric. Their two boys, Parker and Peyton, quickly fell in love with Boomer and their family felt complete. He was their very first dog as a family. Shortly after, on April 14th 2020, Eric Chatham passed away. Boomer is somewhat of the last little piece of Eric's memory the Chatham family has. Given that Boomer is only a year and a half old, we want to do everything we can to help raise enough money for this surgery to move forward, but we can't do it alone. Boomer means everything to this family, primarily Parker and Peyton. They've grown so attached to Boomer the past year and a half, and they would be absolutely heartbroken and devastated losing him, with all 3 of them being at such a young age.
If you can find it in your heart to help this sweet baby, it would be much appreciated, no matter how much. Sharing this GoFundMe to your social media platforms will also help tremendously! We would be so grateful to everyone for their support.
Please help me in making sure Boomer lives out a long and happy life with the Chatham family.
