Equity Focused Learning Pods

Our mission at Growing Up Childcare is to help youth learn and understand how to use their minds. By design, our programs instill a definiteness of purpose. We offer an environment that supports the process of organizing and making practical use of facts and information. We focus on how to use knowledge in the everyday endeavors of life, promoting self-determination. We nourish ideas and encourage exploration. We teach healthy eating habits and the relationship between healthy eating and leading a healthy lifestyle. We show the true nature of emotion and how, through transmutation, they can become a driving force that uplifts oneself and, therefore, their community. There is a need for feasible education and childcare options for our BIPOC families, and Growing Up is working hard to collaborate with local nonprofits and youth-focused organizations to provide resources and programming to students and families. Check out how your contribution will directly fund children here in Austin, Texas. Sponsor a Seedling (single child*) $5,000 pays for 12 weeks in an education pod. Sponsor Peas in a Pod (two children) $10,000 pays for two children to participate in an education pod for 12 weeks. Sponsor a Pod and Grow a Community Garden (four children) $20,000 pays for four children to participate in an education pod for 12 weeks. Every dollar counts, and all spending will be on instructors, childcare providers, supplies, and snacks. We believe in total transparency and are more than willing to take some time to answer questions and collaborate with like-minded individuals.
