Surgical Table and Dental Machine: Equipment That Save Lives

Tax deductible
Humboldt Spay/Neuter Clinic is calling our local community to action and help us raise money for a new surgical table and dental machine!

These are among the most frequently used tools in our clinic, and upgrading them will directly impact the quality, safety, and efficiency of care we provide to pets across the North Coast.

Since our founding in 2003, HSNN has been a trusted community resource. When our clinic doors opened in 2014, we set out to remove barriers to veterinary care and we’ve stayed true to that mission ever since.

To date, we have spayed and neutered more than 35,000 dogs and cats and provided medical treatment to thousands more. To continue serving our community at this high level, we need your help investing in the equipment our medical team relies on every day.

Why we Need a New Surgical Table:

Our current surgical table is over 10 years old and has supported more than 29,000 patients. While our surgical care remains high-quality, the table itself is no longer keeping up. Its limited features and worn hardware make adjustments difficult, inefficient, and eventually unsafe.

Every clinic day, our incredible veterinarian, Dr. Ott, performs up to 30 surgeries. A modern surgical table with height and angle adjustments is essential to maintain this pace while protecting both patients and staff.

A new surgical table will:
  • Allow easier, smoother adjustments for safer patient positioning
  • Be fully mobile, improving cleaning and workflow efficiency
  • Include a built-in heater to keep patients warm and reduce extra equipment in the surgical suite
  • Take up less space, helping us work more efficiently

This upgrade will help us provide safe, high-quality care to the next 29,000 animals who depend on us.

Why we Need a New Dental Machine:

The dental machine currently used at HSNC is over 8 years old! Dental equipment is delicate, and breakdowns can lead to canceled or delayed procedures, something we work hard to avoid.

Our dental program is booked months in advance, reflecting the tremendous need for affordable dental care in our community. A reliable, up-to-date machine ensures we can provide timely, lifesaving dental treatment without disruption.

A new dental machine will:
  • Improve reliability and performance
  • Eliminate delays caused by hard-to-find replacement parts
  • Support the continued growth of our high-demand dental program

Our Fundraising Goal:
The total cost for the new surgical table and dental machine is $22,000
  • $16,000 for the surgical table
  • $6,000 for the dental machine

We are incredibly grateful to share that a generous donor has already pledged to cover half of the cost.

We are asking our community to help us raise the remaining $11,000.

Your support is an investment in compassionate, accessible veterinary care and in the thousands of animals and families who rely on us every year.

Thank you for being part of the solution.
