Hiya, my name is Evie and I’m a tattooer who’s been affected by the fire on Union Street in Glasgow.

I was working when the fire began, upon getting outside I realised I’d left my phone in there and was unable to get back in to grab it.

We stood outside watching for an hour or two, at that point hoping to get back in to see what we could recover and praying our stuff wasn’t ruined with smoke damage or water being sprayed.

Within another hour or so the entire building was engulfed in flames and has now completely collapsed. Our shop was one amongst many small businesses to have lost completely everything. We are all devastated at the loss of not only a place we loved so much, but also all of our work equipment along with many sentimental items.

I have been offered a couple of second hand machines to use in the meantime which I don’t feel right about not paying for. I had 7 coil machines and a rotary machine in my drawer, probably worth around 3k or more, I don’t expect to be able to replace all of these but I use 3 machines on a daily basis and will need to replace those at the very least. I also need to replace all of my needles, tubes and inks etc, a new phone, and to recover a little bit of the lost income from this week to be able to pay my bills.

I don’t really like asking for help at the best of times, but I don’t really know how to move forward now without asking and would be so grateful if you could help out at all. Thank you so much to anyone who is able to support me whether that be donating or sharing.
