My name is Kelly Langford and I am a founding midwife of MAMA; a private midwifery clinic in Victoria.

In November I will be accompanying my sister to Timor to see her receive an Order of Timor for her involvement with Timor over the last 25 years. Over this time she has told me many stories of preventable maternal and newborn deaths during childbirth in Timor. I have always wanted to help in some way and now is the time!

We are going to fill our suitcases and take over equipment that will facilitate midwives to assist mothers and babies to receive clinical midwifery care.

According to the APTL (The Timor-Leste Midwives Association), dopplers are very hard to source in country, so we will be purchasing as many as we can to take over with us.

I intend this to be the start of an ongoing relationship with the APTL. I am funding my flights & accommodation; all proceeds from this GoFundMe will go directly towards purchasing the items!
