Project Push to Gold Fund is a nonprofit created and operated by US Skeleton Athlete, Mystique Ro. This nonprofit was created to help bridge the equipment gap for athletes currently in or joining the sliding world.
Sliding gear is very unique, few items are sourced in the US, so we rely on contacts and relationships established mostly from word of mouth in Europe.
Sliding Sports are one of the top three most expensive Olympic Sports, and it is Athlete Funded ('Self-Funded'), meaning no government support.
Most of our athletes are balancing a number of part time jobs or work long hours in their career fields to be able to afford a season on ice while balancing training and everyday life.
Our objective here is to help cover much needed equipment our athletes need to train and compete safely:
-Helmets
-Burn Vests
-Mouth Guards
-Training Warm Up Suits
-Brush Spikes
Olympic year is here and our athletes are dialing in to prepare for the Quad Finale, the Games in February. To ensure our athletes have their base needs met, we are asking for those wanting to support Team USA to rally behind our sliders to help them be properly fitted!
