Equip Farmers to End Hunger
Overview
Teebo has a long history of work ending the starving season in rural areas and can achieve much more with your financial support!
We are seeking a donation of $5,000 to grow our End Starving Season program (#EndStarvingSeason). 100% of the donation will be used for the program and is tax-deductible. We have an anonymous $2,500 match donation to meet the new capital requirements to grow the village's agricultural program.
The local Teebo volunteers in Burkina Faso will be distributing these plows and fertilizer to each farmer, and we will report back with photos/videos.
· 75 animal plows for hard-working farmers to farm more lands and increase productivity ($40 each)
· 57 bags of natural and environment-friendly fertilizers to support the soil and contribute to better farming results ($35 each)

Where Teebo serves!
Burkina Faso, about 80% of the ~21 million population is involved in subsistence farming; unfortunately, many village residents suffer through a Starving Season twice a year (CIA World Factbook). The sustained poverty periods are brought on by lack of rainfall, low seed, harvest storage problems, and insufficient fertilizer (The Monitoring African Food and Agricultural Policies). Farmers and their families can barely survive during a Starving Season, forcing many young people to migrate to cities searching for livelihood. Their absence erodes the villages' foundation by destroying the traditional family structure and undermining the education system.

Our Story
Teêbo, Inc. is a 501©3 non-profit company dedicated to serving the Burkinabés through humanitarian aid, educational assistance, water relief, and mission work. Our team works to reduce poverty through economic development. Teebo was established from the belief that even the smallest act of generosity can have a tremendous impact on others' lives. What began with one boy's Christmas gift to local widows has grown into a global non-profit involving both the people of Burkina Faso and experts in community-building from around the world. The organization has a team of operations and a board extensively experienced in nonprofit management, social, and public sectors.
Our impacts!
Teêbo, Inc. has successfully addressed these challenges in 2 villages since 2012 with the End Starving Season program. We connect local farmers with experts in agriculture in the US and Burkina Faso to develop farming techniques. The program provides better animal-powered plows and fertilizer to hard-working farmers, identifies and tracks necessary crop health measurements, and educates farmers about best practices for cultivation, seed storage, and animal husbandry. To date, Teebo has improved food availability in 1,041 farming households.

Our team is so grateful for your partnership, and we look forward to working together to end the starving season in Burkina Faso, one village at a time.
