Hi this is a request very personal to me and one that will stay with me forever. Our daughter is currently in the care of an NHS Trust adolescent unit battling with an Eating Disorder.

The ward staff and experts on the unit are a credit to the NHS and have helped our daughter and others, every step of the way

to battle through this Mental Health illness.

However during these battles idle hands make fuel for the eating disorder.

We have worked with the ward during coffee mornings, cake making and other fund raising events to buy much needed equipment however the young people on the ward still need more to occupy their time and beat their illness.

I hope to raise funds so the ward can buy some or all of the following to help the young people in their daily lives:

Table Tennis equipment (they have the table)

Yoga Mats

Sensory Lights

Craft Making supplies

Slime (A personal favourite of my daughter!)

Puzzles

Board games

Playing cards

Outdoor games (eg giant Connect 4)

I hope nobody has to deal with what we and others, deal with when an Eating Disorder takes grip of a persons mind but, with your help I hope to make that journey less traumatic and a mentally healthier one.
