Library & HIV Memorial in Uganda

Tax deductible
Imagine a life with no books. Not even one.

In your whole life—no books.

None in your house.

Even at your school, only a few shared-textbooks exist.

No picture books. No storybooks. No novels. No biographies.

No books!

And now imagine the gift of a whole library filled with books—all for you to use—at no cost.

All right in your home village in rural Uganda, East Africa.

If we can raise just $13,548, AidChild can build a charming structure to serve its whole community--making available the thousands of books the organization has been collecting. They even already have the shelves, and the team members to support the effort.

They just need four walls and a roof.

Also in this budget and on this special site--just steps from the equator line--will be a new HIV Memorial for all the babies and children who died in hospice care before the right medications were available. Flags will line a prayer/meditation walk, each flag representing a child or baby who has gone ahead.

This memorial is an extremely important part of the library as it adds a sacred component to educating children and the community about the past--and to changing the future. The site already contains vibrant maps and public art of all kinds. Each of these pieces is essential to make a great--even if simple--library and learning center for children.

Any donation, any amount, will make possible the miracle of reading for at least 2,000 children and families every month!

Can you help?
