Hello, my name is Gayane Khasoyan, and I am a friend and supporter of the Louse՛ Rehabilitation Center Foundation in Armenia.
I am proud to support the Center and its self-defense group, composed of young people diagnosed with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and autism. This remarkable center is committed to ensuring that children with developmental challenges are fully included in society. Since its establishment in 2018, more than 3,000 children have benefited from its high-quality, free-of-charge services.
I have personally witnessed the exceptional work carried out by the Center’s devoted team in Yerevan, our motherland, and it is an honor to stand alongside them in advancing this important mission.
From May 27 to June 7, 2026, the Center is planning an international visit to Glendale, California, for members of its karate club. During this visit, the children will connect with peers in the United States and participate in international sports competitions and cultural festivals.
Accompanied by their caregivers, the children will gain invaluable life experiences, build confidence, and develop greater independence. Parents will have the opportunity to learn effective strategies for supporting their children, while also discovering new opportunities available for individuals with special needs. At the same time, the Center’s professional team will engage with leading specialists in the United States, explore advanced rehabilitation and developmental approaches, exchange best practices, and establish meaningful partnerships to bring innovative methods back to Armenia.
This journey represents a life-changing opportunity for the entire delegation of 13 participants.
We are currently seeking support to cover the cost of airplane tickets, while our generous partners in Glendale have kindly offered to host and support the group during their stay.
Your support will make a lasting impact, helping these young experience joy, confidence, and inclusion, while contributing to the advancement of rehabilitation and developmental services in Armenia.
