Support a Mother and Her Children After a Devastating Hit-and-Run
On Thursday, August 22, 2025, tragedy struck in Eden Prairie at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive when a mother and her four young children were hit by a driver while walking through a crosswalk. Witnesses say one car had stopped to let the family cross, when suddenly a white vehicle sped through from the opposite direction, slamming into the mother and the wagon carrying two of her children.
Update on Victims:
The two children on foot were not injured. The mother and one child have since been released from the hospital. Another child, who remains in critical condition, faces internal bleeding. Over the weekend, the bleeding has stopped, but she continues to have trouble gaining consciousness. Because the pain is too overwhelming, doctors have had to place her back under sedation.
This family moved from St. Paul to Eden Prairie four years ago, seeking a safer community and better opportunities for their children. Now, instead of living the life they worked so hard to build, they are facing unimaginable pain, medical bills, and the long road of recovery.
We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses, lost wages, and the day-to-day needs of this young family as they heal physically and emotionally. No parent should have to endure this alone, and every dollar, prayer, and share brings them closer to stability during this difficult time.
The Minnesota State Patrol now has control over the investigation, and there is a reward for information leading to an arrest. While law enforcement works to bring justice, this family urgently needs support to focus on their children’s recovery.
Please consider donating and showing this family that their community stands with them. Together, we can ease their burden and help them focus on what matters most: the recovery of their children.
