Candace’s Cancer Battle

Donation protected
 Update
It is with a very heavy heart I have to announce my sister Candace transitioned 2/17/23. She was a warrior. She fought the good fight and is now with the Lord.  To try and understand this horrible disease is heartbreaking. Cancer took over her entire body and we slowly watched her deteriorate. One day she was up and about and before we knew it, she could barely lift her head. Every day she went downhill right in front of our eyes because she wanted to die at home with family at her side. We are HEARTBROKEN and that is putting it mildly. Her 3 year old daughter will now grow up with only vague memories of her amazing, loving mom. My sister in law KeKee is beside herself. She had to stop everything to care for her wife. They basically have to start over, a new life without her. We are asking for your help as we cannot do this alone. Kemora (Kekee) still has to raise their daughter and provide for her. In order to give them a fresh start please consider donating whatever you can. We appreciate whatever you can give. We are going to miss her laughter, jokes, compassion but mostly her digs about her Dallas Cowboys. We are distraught.

How do I describe my sister Candace?
She is an amazingly supportive sister, loving, accepting, hardworking, wise, trustworthy and strong. Those are just a few words to describe the beautiful person she is. She has a beautiful smile with the most amazing dimples. Her laughter is so contagious.
Her wife, Kemona, and their daughter, Grace are the lights of her world. Candace is a mother, wife, sister, auntie, daughter and friend. She is such a beacon of hope and light to her large family. She seeks to serve others in every area of her life.
Candace went to the ER on Sept. 6 with a severe migraine that hadn't eased for several days. They found two tumors in her brain, and more on her thyroid, adrenal glands, lungs, and liver. A tumor was biopsied and found to be Adenocarcinoma.
Candace is currently undergoing Radiation treatments to reduce the swelling in her brain. After radiation she will need Chemotherapy. While she fights this fight her family is by her side. At times she is in excruciating pain due to the swelling.
What we know for sure is Candace is a fighter and will take this journey one day at a time.
This diagnosis was a SHOCK to the entire family. With her treatment the medical bills will be astronomical. Things maybe difficult at this time for many of us. We are asking for any love you can give whether monetarily or through lots and lots of prayer. We are grateful for any help you can give. Please share with everyone you know. It is extremely important that Candace and Kemona can focus on wellness and peace and taking care of their two and a half year old daughter.
With your help we can ease the financial burden and allow Candace to concentrate on getting well.
Thanks for all the love from Candace and the Jennings family. #Cancersucks
