Hudson's Top Surgery Fund

Hello everyone!

Some of you may already know me, but if not, hi! My name is Hudson Biemeret, and I am a 33 year old trans non-binary person living in New Orleans!

I have been out as trans for about 8 years now and am finally able to focus on aligning my physical appearance to my authentic self. After researching and self reflection for years, I am elated to share that I’ve decided to change my life for the better and receive top surgery!

As someone who struggles with gender dysphoria and depression/anxiety, getting top surgery will immensely improve my life mentally and physically. On top of not feeling comfortable in my body because it does not align with my true self, I suffer my shoulder and back problems due to continuous use of binders and the size of my chest currently. It would alleviate a lot of pain I’ve had for several years to receive this gender-affirming surgery.

I have been able to find a surgeon that specializes in top surgery located in Plano, Texas named Dr. Peter Raphael. He has over a decade of experience in performing gender-affirming surgeries, and I’m confident that he will be able to not only provide care and compassion to my surgery but that he will give me the chest I’ve always wanted.

At this time, I have not been able to save any funds due to other bills and expenses in my life. The current quote I have for the surgery is $8700, but that does not include travel/lodging costs and post-surgery medical expenses/medications. I would also need at least $1200 to make a deposit to secure a surgery date, which I have been unable to do so as well. The good news is that I do have family in Texas (where I’m from) that has offered to help me while I recover and I have a place to stay after my surgery.
