My journey as an elite competitive OCR (obstacle course race) athlete started about 5+years ago. As a retired competitive runner, wrestler, and rower I was looking for that one race that could challenge me fully.:mentally, physically and emotionally.
I needed to feel challenged and pushed in ways that I have only dreamt of.
I found OCR Races and they encapsulated everything that I could have ever wished for all in one race. I have competed in CrossFit, Olympic lifting, marathons, mountain biking, and wrestling. OCR races have been able to put all of my loves and passions into one amazing Sport.
Participating in the OCRs has rekindled the drive to train towards continued growth in self discipline, physical strength and self confidence as well as learning to be all present, to live in the moment and to live my best life to the absolute fullest. Being able to share my passion and love of the sport with my friends, family and supporters is a blessing. Who knew that I would become so passionate about participating in this most challenging sport. A sport that has many competitive levels. I'm proud to say that I'm a pretty good competitor. I have had the honour to represent Canada as a female athlete in the OCRWC in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and am now excited to attack this 2019 race season with everything that I have trained so hard this past off season for the championships that are in this August.and then back to The UK in October for the World Championships Sprint, Short and Long Course.
Believing in the power of positive thinking and that dreams do have a way of coming true I have committed to purchasing tickets for Australia, Vermont, and UK races. However, the reality is that these dreams will not come to fruition if I don't have the support of and help from my supporters, sponsors, friends, and family, the very people who believe in me and my passion.
So I come to you to ask you to please help me make these opportunities possible!
Please help me get to these races this year and continue to have the opportunity to represent London On. and Canada at the OCRWC.
