It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this. As most of you know Josh, Raquel & Evie lost their sweet Josie Cate on Sunday November 1st. She was 37 weeks gestation and thriving. Her umbilical cord became knotted too tightly for any oxygen to pass through. Their hearts are broken but they are strong and pressing through knowing their sweet girl is with Jesus! Watching them parent and be sensitive to one another through the many unexpected decisions and costs they are faced with has marked the hearts of everyone present.
Many have asked what they can do to help and this is the most practical & burden easing thing that would help them at this time. This page is an opportunity for those who would like to & are able to contribute toward the cost of Josie's services. Joining with them as they honor & celebrate their sweet Josie Cate.
The way that they timeline happened there was not time to prepare for the unforseen costs & numerous decisions that they are now faced with. It took much convincing to even have them let me post this.
Their hearts are, that no one would feel pressured or obligated to help financially. Many of you have already contributed in ways that have marked their hearts in the most profound way. Caring for their daughter Evie, providing meals, holding prayer meetings, coming home to a warm clean house and loving their precious Josie are things that gratitude doesn't come close to expressing enough thanks for how full their hearts are because of this. From the deepest part of their hearts. Thank You!
~A message from Josh, Raquel & Evie~
Dearest Family & Friends,
Our sweet Josie Cate is with her beautiful Jesus.
We came into the hospital early Sunday morning and the doctors discovered a tight knot in Josie’s cord. Yesterday at 8:55am she was born. She was perfect from her auburn curly hair to her pretty little toes. We got to enjoy a day together. Evie was able to meet her “Jofee Cate” and is a proud big sister. Evie was so happy to meet Josie and hold her. It was such a joyful time for our family. Even though our hearts are saddened, we delight in knowing that when her eyes opened for the first time, she saw Jesus.
