Funeral Funds for My Father

Hello, my name is Dominique and on October 23rd at 5:36 pm, my father passed away at the age of 69 to unfortunate hospital complications. My dad, Tim Kousoulides, was one of the kindest, sweetest, most hardworking men there ever was. He was born and raised in NJ and lived an adventurous and love-filled life while facing every trial and tribulation out there. He owned a successful business in Stewart's Root Beer Stand in Freehold, NJ, overcame brain and lung cancer, and survived a three-week medical coma. Then earlier this year, he lost his beloved wife of 38 years, Louise Carotenuto Kousoulides, to cancer. He finally passed away from hospital negligence a few weeks after being re-diagnosed with brain cancer.

My dad loved to travel and play sports when he was younger and pursued his love for cooking when he took over as the owner of Stewart's Root Beer Stand from his father, John Kousoulides. John had purchased the restaurant after moving to the United States from Cyprus when he was younger. Tim grew up speaking Greek as well as English, leading people in high school to nick-name him "The Greek." Tim was fun-loving and never took anything too seriously. He met my Mom when she was still a teenager and they fell in love immediately. They were married for 38 years and together for over 45 years with two children, my brother Nick and me. He was absolutely devastated when she passed away earlier this year, as we all were.

My dad's death was a complete surprise and we were not ready for this just yet. He meant the world to my brother and me and was there for us through every significant moment in our lives. You could not have met a nicer person. He was deeply loved by his parents Helen and John, his brothers Chris and George, their spouses Kristine and Curtis, my Mom's entire family, and all my friends. We would be so grateful for any dollar donated to his unexpected funeral costs. It would mean the world to my brother and me, as we are still paying off my Mother's funeral costs from earlier this year.
