It is with a heavy heart that we share that in the early hours of January 30, 2025, Landon was called home.

Landon fought with incredible strength and resilience, but despite all efforts, his journey here came to an end. He was an extraordinary young man—talented, kind, and deeply loved by all who knew him. As a section leader in his high school’s marching band, he brought music, leadership, and light to so many. His warm smile and genuine kindness also left a lasting impression on every guest he served at Chick-fil-A Parham Road.

On December 3, 2024, Landon was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening Streptococcus agalactiae infection, which rapidly escalated, resulting in emergency open-heart surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. After over a month of intensive care, he was discharged to inpatient rehab on January 17, 2025. Tragically, the next day, he suffered a massive stroke and was rushed back for emergency surgery.

Landon’s mother, a devoted single parent, remained by his side while balancing work and mounting medical expenses. Though Landon fought with everything he had, his body could not endure the toll of his illness.
