For the past 40 years, Rachel Portnoy-David has been deeply involved in her concern for the Los Angeles Jewish Community. She has directed childcare at Congregation Bnai-David-Judea and Young Israel of Century City. She has been a director of the Pico Soup Kitchen. She has directed the Women’s Tehilim group at the Pinto Schule and has helped out at the Shebazi-Temanime Congregation.
