Help Otto Gain Independence and Safety with a Service Dog

Otto is 7 years old and Deaf+. A service dog will help him move through the world with greater safety, awareness, and confidence.

He experiences the world visually and is learning American Sign Language while navigating a fast-paced hearing environment each day. When communication is clear and visual, Otto is more connected, more confident, and better able to express himself.

Duke (Service Dog in Training) can support Otto in a practical, consistent way. He can alert Otto to what he may not hear and help him navigate environments more safely. Early training is critical to help Duke develop the skills Otto will rely on every day.

Duke will be trained through Endless Pawsabilities Service Dogs, a local nonprofit that provides individualized service dog training and scholarships for families in our community.

Otto and Duke already have a natural connection. It does not rely on spoken language. It is built on presence, consistency, and trust.

Duke also brings something meaningful to our family. For Otto’s older brother, Galileo, the responsibility and companionship of a dog give him something steady to care for and connect with.

Scholarship funds will help:

-Fund Service Dog training

-Increase Otto’s safety and independence

-Create lasting impact for Otto and his family
